"The friendships keep us going at this game. To sit is to rust. To be active is to achieve" - Ken McKinnon
Long Hockey was established in 1997 in Boulder, CO.
Long Hockey is more than a collection of morning skates—it is a true community.
Founded by Pat Long, Long Hockey players embrace a set of simple attitudes and behaviors that keep the skates safe, fun, and competitive.
The Long Hockey community consists of players ranging from their early twenties to their late eighties.
Long Hockey provides an environment where quality hockey is played, where the game can be enjoyed safely, and where players begin their day energized from camaraderie and physical activity.
Most importantly, it embodies not just the spirit of a fraternity, but the daily practice of it.
The Burlington Oldtimers Hockey Club was founded in 1975 as a safe place for aging hockey players to enjoy the game they love.

DAWG Nation was built to help our hockey family in times of need.
In January of 2011, a small group of adult recreation league hockey players decided to create a foundation to help others.
What started as a “passing of a hat” and a simple idea to honor a fallen friend has blossomed into an important resource for the hockey community across North America.
DAWG Nation Hockey Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charity dedicated to providing aid and opportunities for persons with and without disabilities.
DAWG Nation Hockey Foundation believes in the power of ice hockey to give persons with and without disabilities the opportunity to gain independence and confidence through playing ice hockey and in the power of the ice hockey community to help amateur ice hockey players and their families in times of need.

The Saskatoon 60+ started in 1993 with 26 players.
Today they have over 40 teams of five playing twice a week, with ages ranging from 60+ to 90+.
The purpose of this league is fun, no body-checking or slap shots, players are seeded according to ability.
They also emphasize the social side of the league, with an annual Christmas party and golf tournament.
" But the best part is this: every one of our old players has gained at least 100 friends they can count on—people they never would have met otherwise."

Inspired by our northern fraternity in Canada , The USA 80+ Hockey Hall of Fame is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit honoring athletes aged 80 and above who continue to compete, inspire, and give back through the sport they love.
Founded in 2025, the USA 80+ Hockey Hall of Fame welcomed its inaugural class of 36 senior hockey legends, including former NHL players Terry Harper and Bill Orban, Guinness World Record holder Mark Sertich, and Ginette Hatin, the Hall's first female inductee.
In a culture that moves on from its seniors too quickly, we place them at center ice — celebrating the resilience, dedication, and joy that a lifetime in hockey builds.
Our mission is to recognize and celebrate these exceptional individuals and the contributions they have made to the hockey community. We hope to inspire future generations that will embrace the game with the same enthusiasm and perseverance.
“The idea of a USA 80+ Hockey Hall of Fame came from a simple truth as we are now all watching men and women 80 and over lacing up their skates and participating in a sport that challenges the body and brain,” says Fred Merchant.
“The returns to these ‘super seniors’ from this great sport are fraternity, camaraderie, community, and better health.”
